1) MEF Gets Partner for SD-WAN Service Standards Effort

Industry association MEF is partnering with ONUG (formerly Open Networking User Group) to further its efforts to develop requirements and standards in the software-defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN) space.
As we reported in August, MEF finalized a global SD-WAN standard, what it called SD-WAN Service Attributes and Services (MEF 70), which "describes requirements for an application-aware, over-the-top WAN connectivity service that uses policies to determine how application flows are directed over multiple underlay networks irrespective of the underlay technologies or service providers who deliver them."
